Words with no oomph

The day Kanye said this:

Kanye West: "I'm a creative genius"

Is the day the word “creative” lost a lot of meaning for me.

As a result, I probably use it a lot less frequently than I otherwise would.

The word “sustainability” has been on a similar decline for me, which I suspect is mostly from seeing it used irresponsibly, and even overused.

When these words would naturally fit into a sentence, I try to catch myself and use something else instead. It’s often possible, but not always.

I have a list of words and phrases I try to avoid, simply because there’s just no oomph left in them anymore – I’d love to know what words come up in your world that are just overused, possibly even meaningless now.
