A lot of climate superhero organisations give significant chunks money to causes or communities that need funding.
But does being a climate conscious organisation mean you have to be generous with your money and give it all away?
Not necessarily.
A climate conscious org uses business to deliver things of value (products or services), and does so in a way that can be sustained for a long time without being reliant on non-renewable resources (literally sustainable). That has flow-on benefits to the people who come into contact with your org, as well as the spaces and communities around it.
You can sell almost anything – shoes, carrots, education, advice – in a sustainable way.
The role your money plays is not necessarily to be given away. It’s to keep you in business, so you can keep doing all of the positive things that are unique to you.
Including giving money to causes, if you wish.
