Dunno about you, but I’m already getting pummelled with emails about that dreaded Black Friday thing that happens every year, and sends people into a buying frenzy.
Great time to re-share my thoughts on the 4 stages of owning stuff – if you’re worried that you might be tempted by a sale for something you don’t really need, please give it a read and share with anyone you think needs it.
I’ll probably share it again over the coming weeks – quick quote from an article about the environmental impact of Black Friday:
“A report from think tank Green Alliance found that 80 percent of everything bought during Black Friday sales will end up either in landfill, incineration or at best, low quality recycling – often after a short life. It’s expected more than half of shoppers will buy electronic goods and almost a third will purchase clothes during Black Friday sales.”
Try to limit yourself to things you really do need – stay strong, you can resist 💪
