At the Sydney Energy Forum this week, the visiting Energy Secretary from the U.S. is quoted as saying that a global transition to renewable energy could spell the end of global conflict.
One of the fallouts of the Russia-Ukraine conflict that you’ve no doubt heard about by now, is the stranglehold Russia has over many European countries because of it’s dominance in the fossil fuel markets – some countries are accelerating their renewables projects because of it.
While I think that’s an extremely bold claim, I have enjoyed envisioning the next 100 years or so while that idea played out in my head✌️
