These "net zero" hotels are groundbreaking, and setting new standards for the industry.
They feature heat pumps that extract heat from directly underground via custom made loops; bins that divide rubbish into categories so they send nothing to landfill; and furniture and decor made from locally sourced and recycled materials; and Airbnb-style home furnishing and flexibility around staying later, check-out times, all that good stuff.
These particular ones, room2, are located in the UK, and they're aiming for 5000 rooms across several hotels to find by 2030.
