These “net zero” hotels are groundbreaking, and setting new standards for the industry.
They feature heat pumps that extract heat from directly underground via custom made loops; bins that divide rubbish into categories so they send nothing to landfill; and furniture and decor made from locally sourced and recycled materials; and Airbnb-style home furnishing and flexibility around staying later, check-out times, all that good stuff.
These particular ones, room2, are located in the UK, and they’re aiming for 5000 rooms across several hotels to find by 2030.
(That’s like 60 rooms per month by 2030)!
