Keeping honest people honest?

Danny Ruspandini - Impact Labs Australia
Danny R.

There are a lot of twists and turns with this going green, sustainability stuff.

I recently heard someone in the green space say “We’re just keeping honest people honest”. I thought that sounded very defeated.

In fairness, he’d been telling us about a bunch of new and expanded coal mines that had recently been approved in Australia, so I guess his cynicism was justifiable in that moment - new coal mines don’t tend to make sustainability-minded people very happy.

But I’m curious what others think - when it comes to sustainability in general, are we preaching to the choir? Do you think people and businesses are open to trying new things and improving their habits? Or is it case of we believe what we believe and to hell with the tree huggers?

We send sustainability and rebranding insights like this every day.

We acknowledge that we work on the lands of the Wangal peoples of the wider Eora nation in the place now known as Sydney. We are humbled to work on Wangal lands, used for generations as a place for Aboriginal learning and knowledge exchange.

We respect the Elders of the past, our current Elders and the Elders we are building for our future. May we all continue to look after Wangal, Eora and surrounding lands.
