There are a lot of twists and turns with this going green, sustainability stuff.
I recently heard someone in the green space say “We’re just keeping honest people honest”. I thought that sounded very defeated.
In fairness, he’d been telling us about a bunch of new and expanded coal mines that had recently been approved in Australia, so I guess his cynicism was justifiable in that moment - new coal mines don’t tend to make sustainability-minded people very happy.
But I’m curious what others think - when it comes to sustainability in general, are we preaching to the choir? Do you think people and businesses are open to trying new things and improving their habits? Or is it case of we believe what we believe and to hell with the tree huggers?
