Yesterday I wrote about picking a few awareness days through the year to pin your attention to, instead of putting up a token post for every awareness day.
I'm listening to an audiobook called It Doesn't Have To Be Crazy At Work by the two Basecamp guys. In it, they talk about their approach to running a company that doesn't chase constant growth, quarterly goals, and respects their employee's time (recommended read!).
In chapter 20 they mention JOMO (the joy of missing out) over FOMO, and it rang so true to me.
"Most people should miss out on most things most of the time" is the direct quote and I couldn't agree more.
In the context of awareness days, I really encourage you to scan that list of days (here again) for 10 minutes and pick a few for the year.
