If you dislike invoicing and genuinely want to minimise it (or escape it entirely)… one way is to start getting comfortable using these things:
For me, switching away from invoicing literally saved several hours per month (some of that time was procrastination when I should have been working on invoicing, so a win inside of a win).
I spent some of that time getting familiar with Stripe, and now spend some of that time creating payment links in Stripe, testing them, building “Thank You” pages… so I didn’t win all of that time back entirely, but the difference is hours every month with invoicing, vs around 15 minutes per product (which is not something I add every month).
You do it by starting with just one fixed-price product.
For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but theyβre totally avoidable when flying solo.
