“I should be more sustainable”

I’ve had friends say this; suppliers say it; workers in our home say it… When they know that I and/or our family tries to be as (imperfectly) low-waste as possible, they’ll say things like:

“Yeh, I always but this one with the plastic packaging because it’s cheaper… I guess I should be more sustainable, right”…

or

“Yeh our packaging isn’t the greatest I know – we’re not very sustainable”.

I get it – a guilt thing kicks in when you believe you’re being judged for your choices.

I ain’t perfect, so far be it from me to judge… But if you think you should be more sustainable, then look for a better option.

Not to impress someone… definitely not me.

If not, and you need to buy cheaper to save money, or run with a supplier while they’re your best option – do what you need to do.

If your little voice is telling you you should switch even when I’m not there, you don’t need permission… Go do it 💪
