Around a year ago, I made a promise to you and the other members of this list to do away with the doom-and-gloom that is so rife around climate and sustainability.
I haven’t been keeping that promise, and that’s junk.
The big challenge: Pretty much all of the news around climate is bad.
My personal challenge: Find the upside sitting next to all that bad stuff, and encourage more of it.
What I didn’t expect: A lot of the bad stuff actually makes me mad. Like, discuss-it-over-dinner-with-the-wife kind of mad. Like, can you believe Nespresso was awarded BCorp certification with their human trafficking record kind of mad.
When I see something maddening, I just want to blast it out and let people know.
But if your world looks anything like mine, you get bombarded with bad news plenty enough each day that you don’t need it coming from one more source–especially one that specifically said it wouldn’t.
So with permission, I’m trying again.
