My kiddies will be approaching 10 years old in 2030, and I predict their schools will have subjects that touch on climate topics and education in some form.
When those conversations come up at dinnertime, and the 2030 “deadline” is in the news, I wanna have some good answers for them.
Things like:
“Yep, lots of banks fund fossil fuel projects still but don’t worry, ours doesn’t. Ours funds organisations who are doing truly awesome things!”.
“Yes, there are still lots of companies who are doing things that are bad for the climate, but don’t worry, mum and dad don’t work with any of them. We work with people who are trying to do really good, kind, helpful things!”.
“No, we’re not perfect at all… but we’ll keep trying to do more good stuff like this that helps more people, cool?”.
For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but they’re totally avoidable when flying solo.
