If you are, or know of companies who hold/collect data that could be useful in creating climate solutions, Subak are a UK founded non-profit accelerator program for climate startups, that now has a presence in Australia.
The nine-month program is focused on “supercharging data focused climate startups”, and encourages open data sharing and lots of collaboration. Exactly what’s needed particularly with climate solutions.
If you already collect data as part of your commercial activities, and that data could be used to highlight gaps in climate knowledge, Subak encourages you to open up some or all of that data so that startups can build new tech products. Grant funding for the startups also comes from Subak.
Additionally, there’s an individual fellowship with smaller grants for people who don’t run organisations themselves, but have an idea or side-project that could be used in the climate space.
For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but they’re totally avoidable when flying solo.
Learn how to keep things simple, enjoyable, and climate-smart in around 2 minutes a day by joining The Climate Soloist.
