In talking about offsetting your car, I used the terms offsets and credits interchangeably, which they’re not.
TL;DR:
Carbon credits are issued to companies by the government. Carbon offsets are things you buy to ‘offset’ your emissions. The EV thing from yesterday uses offsets, not credits.
