Carbon levels in the atmosphere are measured in ppm (parts per million).
Currently in 2023, it's at around 418ppm which, according to those what do science, is the highest it's been in about 3 million years.
350ppm is where we want to be.
There's a campaign to communicate how much this obscure number has risen over the past century-or-so.
You can visit The Nature Conservancy to find out what the carbon ppm was in your birth year—and some folks are putting that number on their LinkedIn bio or about section.
