One of my favourite movies, Interstellar, kicks off in a time when the earth has already been depleted, and our best option is to go find another planet. I often read articles and write-ups about it.
In this one, the writer includes the paragraph below which I think is a nice call to action for those of us who’d really like to avoid needing to find a backup planet:
Interstellar suggests the survival of the species may depend on enough people extending a sense of empathy beyond their immediate family.
For me, my immediate family is a huge motivator, like it would be for many people… but she’s right.
