There’s that word again

I love the word “sustainable”, but it can be so misleading.

Earlier this week I was in a conversation with a business coach who used the business definition of sustainable many times, but the “green” version went right over their head.

In any case, I’m starting to adopt the term “regenerative” not just as a replacement to sustainability (it’s not), but because the overall thinking behind it is, in my mind, even more “green”.

Sustainability implies keeping things ticking along as they are (in the best way possible).

Regenerative builds on that by leading with repairing and improving – eg: restoring the environment or community you operate in.

There are definitely more wins to be had by adopting a regenerative mentality rather than just a sustainability one – watchathink?
