If you’ve been reading along for the past month or so, you’ve noticed me bounce back-and-forth between two topics:
There are definite links between them, even if they’re not obvious or typical.
Many of them I’ve come across personally through my work with clients – but there are a multitude of less obvious links which I’m still exploring, and will share here as they become clearer.
It’s all pretty imperfect and messy. But the larger mission here is to find interesting, practical links between running our organisations successfully, while doing the right things by our people, our surroundings, and our planet.
I truly believe we can have both a “successful” business and a “good” one. Many organisations are already doing it, and I’m hoping we can all learn from them – and each other.
For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but they’re totally avoidable when flying solo.
