Simple breeds simple

Simple products can often lead to a simpler decision to buy (for your clients) as well as simpler delivery (for you).

If you’ve been in your role for even a small amount of time, you probably have the experience to create a fixed-price offer.

Your product can be a whole project on it’s own like a report or a brand identity, but it's often easier to extract a portion of a project and create a new product from it. Something you already do as part of a bigger project, like a strategy piece or a design concept.

You create:

  • a fixed scope
  • a fixed price
  • a simple system for delivering it
  • a guarantee
  • and exclusions

...which lets the buyer know exactly what they’ll get, as well as exactly what they wont.

Building simple things is not simple, but they tend to stay simple, only requiring tweaks rather than reinventing wheels with each big project.

We acknowledge that we work on Wangal land of the wider Eora nation now known as Sydney. Wangal land sadly no longer inhabits any Wangal people.

We pay respect to the Elders of the past, as well as current and emerging Elders of surrounding lands and beyond. Let's all care for Wangal land, the Eora nation and Country.

For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but they’re totally avoidable when flying solo.
