Isn’t it fun when every newsletter you’ve ever signed up to suddenly has a sale for you, like a sale is a new idea.
I’m loving the digital detox this week, as well as the lesson it comes with – or maybe more of a reminder: People are lazy.
You, me, everyone on the internet. We’re all lazy – not calling you names, we just don’t care enough to fill in the gaps for strangers on the internet who are jumping out of shadows at us with surprise offers or mincing their words.
If you’re not showing up at least semi-regularly in my inbox, and you haven’t mentioned anything in your one sale bandwagon email to remind me of who you are, you’re leaving it to me to go figure it out, but guess what? I’m lazy.
And lazy on the internet means:
Count how many unidentified sale emails you get this week, I’m up to 11.
The antidote is really simple: either show up regularly, or (if you’re only going to send 1 email per sale) at least mention who the flubb you are.
