Peaceful weapons

Found on LinkedIn:

“Spider! Kill it!” I hear.

Instead, I get the most peaceful weapons I can find.

I take a cup and a napkin. I catch the spider, put it outside, and allow it to walk away.

If I am ever caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, just being alive and not bothering anyone, I hope I’m greeted with the same kind of mercy.

– Rudy Francisco

Me again. I almost added “except redbacks, always kill redbacks” as a joke, but of course they’re useful:

“…redback spiders are beautiful animals and beneficial to our garden because they help us to keep the headcount of pests in check. If we don’t threaten them, they will definitely not hurt us.”MBCG

Okaaay, so put the redbacks out too ✌️☮
