Hard promises

One of my promises with starting this newsletter was “no doom and gloom”. Whenever I see a climate-related story it’s almost always bad news, so I wanted to offer something different.

But it’s a hard promise to keep.

Staying positive, and looking for bright sides and silver linings in a sea of bad news, sometimes it feels flippant… like I’m not taking the climate situation seriously.

Honestly, the reason I feel positive despite all the bad news is because, without being flippant or slimey, there are a lot of opportunities.

Opportunities to do good things for people and for the planet, but also opportunities to use businesses as vehicles for really strong, influential, and truly beneficial change.

While climate awareness has been a thing for many decades, using it as an opportunity for differentiation is still kinda new.

Examples? Lots. Tomorrow 👍

We acknowledge that we work on Wangal land of the wider Eora nation now known as Sydney. Wangal land sadly no longer inhabits any Wangal people.

We pay respect to the Elders of the past, as well as current and emerging Elders of surrounding lands and beyond. Let's all care for Wangal land, the Eora nation and Country.

For self-employed creatives, normal business traps are easy to fall into and overcomplicate things - but they’re totally avoidable when flying solo.

Learn how to keep things simple, enjoyable, and climate-smart in around 2 minutes a day by joining The Climate Soloist.
