Dear US Climate Chiefs past and present,
In short, we’re working on it. Our targets were boosted in late 2021, although I believe you made the quote above in 2016.
But we admit that despite the boost, Aus does have some of the least ambitious targets globally as seen here.
That’s why us small business owners are ploughing on anyway, regardless of the targets.
We’ll move our cash from polluting banks, super funds and power companies; drop crappy suppliers who have rubbish climate plans; and question any organisation that claims to be carbon neutral by challenging them to simply pollute less. Plus our climate tech space is growing rapidly with lots of investment interest.
We know that more ambitious targets are achievable, and we’re on it–well, our small businesses are anyway, which currently make up around 97% of our market.
Thanks for the very gentle nudge. Feel free to be more blunt with us.
We’ll do the same 😉
Sincerely, Danny.
