Not sure if this is a tipping point, but I spotted what I might call a tipping point signal last night while planning a road trip, check it out:

Personally I don’t own an EV (yet 😉) so I don’t know how long this option has been available on Google Maps… but the fact you can search for charging points on there seems significant.
I can only imagine that the numbers that would lead to Google adding a feature like that must be decent.
