If we're talking about finding ways to halve our current emissions by 2030, what does that look like in planning terms?
We have 7-ish years to hit the goal.
This means any solutions you implement will likely span across your 5 and 10 year plans, and beyond.
Longer term planning needs vision setting - goals can be hard to hit if you're constantly re-guessing what your short term targets are.
Your team will need consistency through those 7-10 years, at least.
Might that mean hiring team members, leaders, maybe even a CEO who is prepared to stick around that long? In Aus (depending on the source you read) an average CEO tenure is 3-6 years. Consider the historical average in your org too.
Setting the foundations for reaching goals are as critical as the goals themselves.
Foundations, vision setting, goals - who sets that stuff in your org?
