☀️ [30DC] Day 1 » Momentum

It’s Day 1, let’s do this.

You’ve got your truckload of ideas.

Today’s task is simple, but maybe not so easy:

👉 Choose your One Shiny Object.

That’s the one idea you’ll focus on for the next 30 days.

Not five ideas. Not an idea plus a backup idea. Just one.

I’ll go first:

This challenge is my One Shiny Object for the next 30 days.

I have a schedule so I know what to write about each day, but I’ll be doing the actual writing on the day like I do with regular emails.

Each day, aside from the usual stuff like work, meals, and drawing Maui for the 700th time for my kids, the ONE thing on my to-do list is:

👉 Write today’s email.

Why’d I choose this challenge as my… challenge? 3 reasons:

  1. Because running a challenge has been in my “ideas” list for years;
  2. By day 30, I’ll have a challenge I can run over and over again; and
  3. I’m totally buzzed and really want to do it.

Your turn.

Start with these questions:

  1. What would be just awesome to have in your toolkit, exactly 30 days from now?
  2. Is there something nagging you that you feel like you just need to try and get it out of your head, so you know whether to pursue it or abandon it?
  3. Is there something that has the potential to step you and your business forward, towards a future goal?
  4. Has there been a missed opportunity recently, where you thought “Bummer, if I’d just had [This thing], I probably would have sold it”.

Quick idea prompter – don’t limit yourself to this list, it’s just to help if you’re still searching:

  • A downloadable lead magnet to boost your subscriber list
  • A one-page sales site for your offer
  • A promo schedule for a product you already have
  • A paid workshop or webinar
  • A 5-day email course
  • A sales deck for your product
  • A referral program for past clients
  • A one-week challenge you can run next month
  • An outline for a 1-hour paid workshop
  • A simple client onboarding system
  • A 2-week beta program
  • An email sequence to re-engage past clients

This is not a long-term commitment, you’re just dating it for a month. If it doesn’t work out, you can still be friends.

Will it be perfect? Nope! And that’s the idea.

We’re aiming for momentum, not perfectionism.
