Constraints

The hard fence you put up around a productised service can seem restrictive at first, like it’s stifling your creativity.

Think about it. Which of these seems easier:

• A menu with 8 pages and 20 options per page in every cuisine, protein and flavour… or a menu with just 8 options.
• Being handed a blank sheet of paper and told to draw anything you like… or a brief that says ‘draw a tree with a bird in it’.
• Staring into the void of your pantry trying to decide what to cook for 4 hungry people… or cooking a meal using a recipe that has 7 ingredients.

You’re creative – constraints don’t change that fact.

They simply help you focus, so you can apply sharpened creativity to a specific task, and smack it out of the park.
